Selecting a good cake for birthday party

Author: Madhavi Porori

With kids, it may be some popular character or some person they admire, or a favorite animal, pet or toy. Sometimes you can poke a little fun at the birthday person with a cake.

Picking a smart birthday cake theme really means knowing something special about the person having the birthday. When you know something about their likes & dislikes, favorite sports or leisure activities or even some quirk they have, it can be worked in to a cake theme.

For example, anybody I know has a brother who has a mild case of arachnophobia, ever since finding a huge spider in her shoe as a schoolgirl. They screamed so loud the relatives dog ran away, & the whole relatives has teased her with spiders ever since then.

For her 40th birthday, they couldn’t resist, & they made her brother a cake covered in icing spider webs & some from spun sugar, & every gummy spider & rubber spider they could find. (There was even four hidden inside the piece the brother got). This would be awful for anybody who really gets upset by spiders, but they doesn’t like them & is used to her family’s antics.

My own brother for some reason really didn’t like yellow roses, maybe because she’d lived in New york & heard that song many times. to irk her, four year Mom’s best friend made a huge & delicious cake & covered it in yellow roses, crammed as close as possible. Every napkin, plate & party item had yellow roses as well & they was presented with a yellow rose corsage.

Another great idea is a fish theme birthday cake, for a person who loves to fish but isn’t cool at it. The little characters on the icing lake can have empty crawls that are pulling out empty lines. It can have diary pages showing the dates of previous birthdays with the number of fishing trips each year & the number of fish caught. The birthday boy's piece can have a marzipan fish on it so he can be assured of getting at least four that year.

Sometimes it’s really elementary & obvious, like my older daughter’s first birthday cake that they can remember at age two. Her favorite thing was Sesame Street & everybody had Massive Bird pans for sale. It took forever to pipe all of those feathers on that thing, but the look on her face was certainly worth it. The only problem was that they was a little sad to cut Massive Bird up & then eat him; until they found out he was chocolate!

anything can work as long as it relates to the person who is being honored. If it is humorous, you do need to be careful not to really upset anybody or hurt their feelings, but most people do like a little joke.

You can also get sentimental, since with modern technology, even a cherished relatives image can be turned in to an edible ink image to put right on your cake. A really cool cake for a grandparent would be a collage of pics of their kids & grands.

Energen Cereal Drink

Energen cereal drink was one of my favorite midnight snack, Almost every night I usually drink this delicious drink, and because there is some cereal in it, it is really good for our health. It could also be a good breakfast for those people who are always on the go.
According to www.mayora.com Energen is some kind of instant breakfast food (or drink?) that you could eat (or drink?) anytime and anywhere. It is packaged in a sachet and has powdery texture. Energen has three kinds of flavor, chocolate, vanilla, and mongo. The chocolate and mango are my favorite ones.

Boodle Fight

Boodle FightThis was taken after a very exiting and tiring airsoft game at Airsoft Camp Bosnia in Guiguinto Bulacan Philippines. We are just like real soldier who are sharing foods in one mess hall banquet, it was called boodle fight. Boodle fight in military symbolizes camaraderie, brotherhood and equality.
The food during that day was so great, we are sharing adobo, one of the popular foods for the Filipino people like me.
Adobo is
A Philippine dish of marinated meat or fish seasoned with garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, and spices.
